The first admendment-  First Amendment rights, applied in light of the special characteristics of the school environment, are available to teachers and students. It can hardly be argued that either students or teachers shed their constitutional rights to freedom of speech or expression at the schoolhouse gate. This has been the unmistakable holding of this Court for almost 50 years.

1)Tinker v. Des Moines Indep. Community School District  (1969)

2)The case is about how the students and administrators have the right to say what they belive.

3)The ruling of the Supreme Court was that students can be force do do things they dont appove of  or agree with.

4)The case protect a form of it.

5)I agree with the case becase most student dont have a saying when school is involed most of the time.

Bill Text: Summary | Full Text
Cost: $4 per American over the 2009-2013 period.

This is computed from a Congressional Budget Office report, merely by dividing the estimated cost by the U.S. population.
Status:
Introduced Apr 23, 2008
Reported by Committee May 14, 2008
Amendments (1 proposed) [details]
Voted on in House -
Voted on in Senate -
Signed by President -
This bill was considered in committee which has recommended it be considered by the House as a whole. Although it has been placed on a calendar of business, the order in which bills are considered and voted on is determined by the majority party leadership. Keep in mind that sometimes the text of one bill is incorporated into another bill, and in those cases the original bill, as it would appear here, would seem to be abandoned. [Last Updated: Nov 6, 2008]
Last Action: Jun 24, 2008: DEBATE - The House proceeded with ten minutes of debate on the Bachmann motion to recommit with instructions. The instructions contained in the motion seek to add an amendment requiring parents or legal guardians to give consent before prescription medication is administered to children. During the course of debate, further proceedings on H.R. 5876 were postponed until a time to be announced.

think this bill should pass because it sound important.

Task #9

I think that The President’s Lawmaking Role is the most important one because the president has like most of the power and he can basicly do anything he wants.

i also think that GPO and the Presidentis important because the U.S. Government Printing Office publishes a wide variety of materials for the President.

The Legislative Powers is also important because peolpe have the right to be inform about the bills and stuff.

The Administrative Powers is also important because they take care that the laws be faithfully executed.
